the midwife
& doula duo
Our paths first crossed four years ago at a birth.
Neither of us could have known then that this meeting would grow into a friendship, a creative partnership and eventually The MotherWay.
We truly got to know one another at a workshop with Naoli Vinaver a Traditional Mexican Patera/Midwife where we came together to learn the traditional practice of La Cerada / Closing the Bones and working with the Rebozo. And last year together we learnt with the Peruvian Patera/Midwife Ruro Caituiro Monge traditional Andean Midwifery practices. Over the last years together we have offered many Closing the Bones ceremonies to women in our local community. From the start of our connection we quickly discovered a beautiful flow and synergy in the way we cared for women and families. We have worked together in many birth and postpartum spaces, sharing the journey of supporting women through this significant rite of passage into motherhood.
What began as a shared practice soon became a friendship. We found a mutual love of singing, learning, exploring and simply being together. We treasured every opportunity to work and play alongside one another, and our partnership continued to unfold naturally.
In 2026, we travelled to India together and spent time in meditation retreat, deepening our friendship and sharing in a journey of reflection and connection.
For years, we had dreamt of travelling the world together, spending time in birth spaces and learning from women, midwives and birth traditions across different cultures.
The MotherWay is an unfolding of that shared vision.
A weaving together of our different experiences, our friendship, our love of women and birth, and our belief that there is so much wisdom to be shared when we come together.

Co-Founder | Mother | Endorsed Midwife | Internal Pelvic Release Practitioner | Integrative Bodyworker
My midwifery journey began with the birth of my best friend’s daughter. I was invited into her birth space without having the slightest idea of the profound and life-changing experience I was about to witness. Seeing the innate wisdom, strength and intelligence of a woman’s body as she brought her baby into the world awakened in me a deep reverence for birth.
When my own two beautiful daughters were born, I found myself searching for that same strength within myself. Through their births, I came to know that this wisdom was not something I needed to find outside of myself, it was already within me.
Through my years as a midwife, my trust in women and their extraordinary capacity to birth and transform has only deepened. My work continues to teach me that every woman, every baby and every birth has its own story and its own way.
I believe birth deserves to be approached with gentleness, presence and deep respect. The moment a new baby enters the world is like no other, and yet birth is also one of the most natural and ordinary experiences of human life. It is a profound privilege to walk alongside women and their families through this threshold.
My work weaves together contemporary and traditional midwifery, grounded in knowledge and experience while holding a deep reverence for women, birth and the womb. I believe the way a woman births matters. Not because there is one right way to birth, but because how we are supported, how we are listened to and how we experience our own power can ripple into the way we step into motherhood.
The way we birth can shape the way we mother. The way we mother shapes our families, our communities and the way our children experience the world.
I believe that when women are deeply supported and respected through birth and motherhood, and when children are raised within loving, connected and secure relationships, we contribute to a more compassionate and connected future.
This is at the heart of why I continue to walk beside women, holding space for their wisdom, supporting their choices and honouring the profound transition of becoming a mother.

Co-Founder | Pregnancy-Birth-Postpartum Doula | Integrative Bodyworker | Bhakti Musician
For the past seven years, I’ve walked alongside women and families through pregnancy, birth and the profound transition into motherhood, with a particular love for postpartum care.
It has been an incredible honour to learn, witness and be of service through these profound rites of passage, especially as a maiden tending to mothers.
My journey into this work began through a deep exploration of spirituality, yoga and meditation, which led me into bodywork, Ayurveda and traditional approaches to healing and nourishment. I have trained extensively in Craniosacral Therapy, Traditional Ayurvedic Abhyanga Massage, Womb and Abdominal massage, C-Section Scar Release, as well as Sacred Birth and Postnatal Doula Care, and continue to learn through traditional practitioners and apprenticeships. Ive learnt from traditional birthworkers Naoli Vinaver, Ruro Caituro-Monge, Jenny Blyth and had the beautiful opportunity to apprentice with Dr Naomi Jansson a Doctor of Traditional Medicine, learning traditional postpartum care.
Becoming a doula offered me a profound and sacred way of working and being in the world. My work weaves together doula care, bodywork, food as medicine and traditional postpartum practices, with a deep reverence for the wisdom of the female body.
I’m passionate about supporting women to deeply connect with themselves and create a space for them to feel nourished, nurtured and supported to find their own way.
